Work : Comics : TransSpoof
Dave Sim’s long-running monthly comic book “Cerebus” was an inspiration to me, and I took from it the idea that silly characters could be running around in positions of power. One day while walking to morning assembly at school, I joked to Nick that we should tell some serious stories within the jokey concept of “TransSpoof,” and that Megatron should get away with something that he could never do in an official Transformers story, like run for President. Nick liked the idea.
