Liz Prince, Maris Wicks, Joe Quinones, and I arrived at Diesel Cafe at 7pm just as our opening began. We had the back section as a hub for food and mingling. My brother brought his fancy camera lens, able to shoot despite Diesel's challengingly uneven lighting. Friends came from as far as New York and Washington, D.C. My first "real" art show with work up on a wall, and at my favorite cafe with friends and family to boot, I felt on top of the world that night. All photos by Kevin Finn.
