Two life-changing events happened in the summer of 1989: Tim Burton’s “Batman,” and the purchase of my first comic book. “Fatman” was my response, a mixture of everything I loved about the movie and the “Mad Magazine”-style satire that 11-year old boys can’t get enough of.
